At Lafayette Pediatric Dentistry, we are proud to offer NuSmile’s SOAN electronic local anesthetic delivery pen, which virtually eliminates pain during dental injections and procedures! We’ve invested in this amazing technology so that we may further achieve our goal: to truly provide kids with a comfortable and positive experience at the dentist.

SOAN technology allows us to:

• Administer pain-free local anesthetic injections to teeth needing dental work. That’s right, pain free! There’s no “poke” or “pinch” feeling!
• Precision localized numbness: ONLY the tooth or teeth needing work get numbed, along with the adjacent gums. The lips, cheeks, and tongue do not get unnecessarily numbed like they would with traditional dental injections—so the risk of injury from accidentally biting numb tissue is gone!
• Fast acting. Because of SOAN’s precise administration, we no longer need to wait for anesthetic to “sink in.” We can start working on the tooth right away, reducing the time your child has to sit in our chair.
• Looks like a digital thermometer. Non-scary designs are always kid-friendly
